The Imperfection of the Invincible

Throughout time there has always been struggles for power. One faction's rise is anothers downfall. Truer words have never been spoken, but how? How can one defeat an enemy with the cloak of invincibility? You can't. It is an utter impossibility. So long as your enemy is believed invincible you will never find allies.

Make no mistake, nothing is truly invincible. Everything and everyone is can be defeated. The problem lies in casting off your enemy's illusion. They must be poked and proded, shown their weaknesses. Your enemy is weakest when they believe they are invincible. For example, if you throw a rock at a bear it might hurt, but he will not believe you a threat. However, should one hundred rocks be thrown the bear will then realize it is in danger and will fight for all its worth. To throw more than one stone at a time requires allies, but as I have already said, you will not find any unless you show them that your foe is capable of failure of loss.

A superpower is only capable of remaining so if they display their strengths and hide their weaknesses, on the other hand to overthrow that power you must show their weakness and hide their strength. The irony here is that should you succeed; you will become the invincible... and heaven help you should you let your guard down like your predecessor.

Be wary, not paranoid. Be smart, not arrogant. Be cautious not slow. We are mortal and we can fall.
